There are several women of color in our initial table that are currently in different leadership positions. This session will feature the women in leadership positions in the academy, with external invited speakers that are in related scientific areas

• Assessing the political climate in your department/college/university for diversity in leadership
• The best time to “make that move” – e.g., before or after promotion to full professor?

• How much is too much? – discerning the “normal” versus the “abnormal” levels of challenge in the academy
